Tooth number three.

Ali has finally cut her third tooth. It’s on the top, but not one of the front two. It’s more to the left than that. I’m am relieved as I believe this will put off the inevitable tooth on tooth situation. It’s been stormy here (though nothing really new I guess), verrrrrry windy the past few days and lots of hail storms. The power has blinked twice, and we are grateful that is all! If you read Tony’s post last night, you know we went to the doc yesterday. Ali was almost a month laste for her four month check-up (insurance issues) so it’d been awihle since she was weighed. Until yesterday this girl has been right at the 50th percentile for both height and weight. On the day she was born, her two week, her two month, and at a check when she was closer to three months. Now, she’s at the 37th or so percentile in weight and the twenty-somethingth in height. we figured this out at home because the doc didn’t tell us and I was wondering. Is this normal? In my Human Growth and Development Class it said large losses in percentile are worrisome. Or course the example was, like, 50% lost in an 18 month old….but what exactly is a "large loss"? I mean, of course Ali’s healthy and everything, but do I need to feed her more or something?

This one is a bit dark and you might need to turn the sound up, but between my weird cartoony voice and a bunch of growling, you can hear some pretty sweet giggles from tiny Ali.

Also, Ashley neglected to mention that we got her a training potty so she can get some serious peeing done.

And lastly, today we trekked to the Rockaway Beach Health Clinic (right across the street) for Ali’s belated four month checkup. 24 inches, 13 pounds 8.5 ounces, and she was spared shots because they have to get the Rotavirus one in. We’re going back late this week to do the dirty work.

So much has been going on! Yesterday we got back from Portland and Thanksgiving with my parents and my mom’s side of the family. We hung out a lot, ate a lot, played a lot of Wii. I was sore waking up every single day! Then again, we were also sleeping on a futon… Other big news, Ali cut her first—and the next day second–tooth this weekend. We all knew it was coming and know those seemingly razor sharp protrusions are here. On Black Friday I got up at 5am to go shopping with my mom, sisters and Becky (future sister-in-law). It was the first time I wasn’t there when Ali woke up. Tony said she seemed pretty confused until I came back.

Now we are home and busy. I have a week or so of school and a number of smaller papers to do (SO GLAD I finished my big term paper on Sunday), we’re working on getting this Oregon Coast Design thing off the ground, Christmas is coming up, just a lot of hustle and bustle. Friday we’re headed back to Portland for the annual Lewis Christmas get together. The 18th we are picking Tony’s grandma up at PDX and she is spending some time with us at the beach. Then on the 22nd, Tony’s bday, we will be back in Portland, first to see Ali’s Great Grandma Swalla off and second to celebrate Christmas with the Megraths. Whew!

It’s nice to be up and running again and Tony is the one to thank. Check out the newest album….Thanksgiving to come soon. The paper that’s due tomorrow and has been heavily weighing on me comes first. As does the Oregon game at 12:30. GO DUCKS!

I uploaded a bunch of great videos from the potty excursion, but I don’t really have time to go through them tonight. I assume Ashley will at some point tomorrow, but if you need your cuteness fix they can all be found on my youtube profile. I do want to share one though. Earlier tonight, we were doing some organizing in Ali’s room and she was sitting in her little Pooh bouncy walkery thing. Dot played with a few of the toys and then decided she just had to have a taste of this purple eeyore spinny which was barely in reach. I found this video hilarious…

On another note, if you know of anyone in need of some web design or development work, send them our direction. We have some immediate availability until we get the new site up and running.

Ali is supporting the Iowa boys today against Western Michigan. Unfortunately, the non-us team just scored. Come on boys! Oregon had a sad, sad loss on Thursday….we need some good news!

Also, good luck to the Gladstone Boys Soccer team. Playing tonight for the State Championship! My cousin, Tyler, is the coach….read his wife, Kari’s, blog here.
