This video is boringly long. It’s from, like, a week and a half ago? Working on going down for a nap in her crib. It’s right when she was working on pulling herself up and getting down from the bars. I’m posting it mostly for Martha and Georgia (if they’re out there!) to show them how much Ali LOVES the book they made her. It’s her favrotie "crib toy" and she falls asleep on top of it all the time now.
Also, today we were 3-0 for pooping in the potty! She is getting so good at it!!! We hope to catch it on video soon
This was at my parents’ house weekend before last.
Last night. Took about half hour to get her to fall asleep. Woke up 30-45 minutes later. Another thirty or so minutes. Woke up again before midnight. Finally took her down with us about one. Then woke up this morning at, like, 6:20! Ugh. But, was very grouchy and tired right after nine so off to the crib she went. Fell asleep in fifteen minutes and has been out for halfan hour. And just awoke!!
Also, found tooth number five this morning. Surprisingly, on the bottom.
We’re in the midst of a modified Ferber Method. It is, at times, heartbreaking but seems to be working. To some extent? It sure beats sitting in there until she falls asleep. The crying wears her out so much faster. Is it awful that that’s a plus?
So, a video. After this we’re down to two in the stockpile. The next one is a really good one though! Check back tomorrow. This one is rather self explanatory. It is the end of Elmo’s World on Sesame Street where he sings a redundant song to the tune of Jingle Bells. Ali is dancing and then, at the end, wondering how to get down. This was like three weeks ago before she learned to just drop back onto her butt in the sitting position.
This one is a little long. I seem to struggle when where/when to end videos. Never wanting to miss something great. Ummmm, ignore the bickering of the parents at the beginning
This video includes a cameo of mother just out of the shower. Again, this is about three weeks old. She’s MUCH more proficient now. And, btw, eight months as of yesterday!!!
So we are really backlogged on videos. Therefore I am going to try to scatter them throughout the next week or so. Check back often! This first one is from almost a month ago, when Ali was first learning to stand "on" things.
Fever broke yesterday night. After spiking at 103.3 under the arm (add a degree, thanks Katy!) and still climbing but she wouldn’t hold still anymore. Kind of freaked I called my mom, seeing at the timing was awful, 4pm on a Friday. Luckily it was only downhill from there. Though now the little one has a runny nose and that seems to bother her much more. Last night she was crying in her crib (I figured she feels better so why not get back to work) but would stop to, like, lick her snot. So it was….sob, sob, taste, stop, suck, suck, cry, sob. Eventually I just took her out and she slept with us again. Besides the runny nose she’s being so weird, crying if either parents leaves the room and switching who she wants to be with. I sure hope she feels better soon! Especially because we’re having people over on Sunday and there’s a lot ofwork to be done.
