we’ve more or less settled on a female name: (drumroll please) Alizabeth comes from the hebrew for "my God is an oath". Mother of John the Baptist; Queen Elizabeth (she of Elizabethan era/virgin queen fame). Spelled with an ‘A’ because we are Anthony and Ashley and we’re cutesely lame like that. Shirlie is the middle name of Ashley’s grandmother on her father’s side. She’s named for Shirley Temple, so its a dual homage. Carroll is my last name. We have a few thoughts on male names, but none of them have really jumped out yet. Honor was the frontrunner for awhile there but has lost some steam as of late. There’s a long list floating around somewhere which I’ll put up when I get the time. Until then, suggest away…

christmas tonight at my ma’s place. we’ll have alyssa in tow and i’m curious to get her reactions regarding my family.

second trimester starts today. rejoice!

had our first ultrasound today. it was a trip. they say everything is going well. the heart is trucking along, ashley’s body is doin’ its thing, etc, etc. we’re about 8 weeks along which gives us a due date of june 28, 2007. mark your calendars.
